In this talk, I will discuss our recent attempts to understand the meaning of the BDNK theory in the Landau frame. Using infinite order field redefinitions of the hydrodynamic variables, it can be shown that the BDNK stress tensor can be expressed in the Landau frame. These field redefinitions can either be written as infinite summations of derivative corrections or must be promoted to new 'non-fluid' degrees of freedom, as in the MIS formulation.
