REPORT
Seminar-Workshop: Seminar on ‘Physical and Chemical Pathways of Star and Planet Formation: Tracing Our Cosmic Origins with (Sub) Millimeter Astronomy’ by Dr. Dipen Sahu – 07 October 2025
Type: Seminar-Workshop – Seminar
Event Date: 07 Oct 2025
Venue: Department Seminar Hall, PB-MS-102
Campus: Belur Campus
Department: Physics
The formation of stars and planets is governed by complex physical and chemical processes that range across wide spatial and temporal scales. Dense cores (n(H₂) > 104 cm⁻³) within molecular clouds, potential sites for star formation are referred to as molecular cores. Sun-like stars form within these dense cores, passing through three major phases before developing into a planetary system.
