The Exact Renormalization Group (ERG) provides a powerful non-perturbative framework for deriving low energy effective theories. In this approach, high-momentum modes are systematically integrated out using an analytic cutoff function, yielding the Wilsonian effective action. This formalism has found diverse applications ranging from QCD and the asymptotic safety program to studies of phase transitions in statistical systems and condensed matter physics.
