RKMVERI-Physics Alumni Association

An Appeal

Dear Friends,

Now that our department is in sixth year since its inception in 2012, with four batches of M. Sc. students having already graduated from the department, we feel that the time is now ripe to form an Alumni Association of the department, hereafter referred to as the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI) – Physics Alumni Association. It is our hope that the forum would address the following:

  1. Facilitate mutual interaction among alumni of the department spread across the world.
  2. Keep them connected with the activities of the department.
  3. Receive continuous feedback and advice from the alumni on various activities of the department.
  4. Collect and disseminate via the alumni association website write-ups on topics of relevance (or even just personal reminiscences) by alumni.
  5. Occasionally arrange social gatherings of the alumni in the department.

Membership of RKMVERI-Physics Alumni Association is open to:

  1. Anyone who has acquired either an M. Sc. or a Ph. D. degree from the department.
  2. Any ex-employee/adjunct faculty/young associate who has worked for/has been associated with the department for at least two years.
  3. Any postdoctoral fellow who has worked in the department for at least a year.

If you are planning to visit the department and are willing to give a talk on a topic of mutual interest, please do send an email to well in advance, so that we may arrange your visit and talk.
We earnestly urge you to become a LIFE MEMBER of the RKMVERI-Physics Alumni Association by filling up the subscription form appended below and by paying a subscription fee of 100 INR.
