Seminar-Workshop: Seminar on ‘Phase transitions as origin of primordial black holes and their signatures in gravitational waves’ by Dr. Ujjal Kumar Dey (IISER, Berhampur)
Type: Seminar-Workshop – Seminar
Event Date: 09 Feb 2024
Venue: Saradananda Seminar Hall
Campus: Belur Campus
Department: Physics

Abstract:

Phase transitions in the early Universe can be a source of stochastic gravitational background. In addition, under certain circumstances primordial black holes can be produced from these phase transitions. We consider gravitational waves from this production mechanism of primordial black holes and from the gravitational interactions of those primordial black holes among themselves and other astrophysical black holes.
